Here at Ocean Blue, we offer various ways to relax and access entertainment.
Sky TV – Sky Q
Firstly, press the ‘Sky’ button on the top of the Sky remote followed by the power button to turn the Sky box on (if not already on), a green LED will be illuminated when on. Now see the ‘Lounge Television’ section above to ensure you are on the correct input/source.
To use Sky first press the “Sky button” on the Sky remote, then using the CH+/- buttons to flick between channels. Or by pressing “select” and navigating using the arrow buttons situated around the select button you can browse the channels without changing the channel itself. Pressing the select button will then change the channel to the selected channel.
Pressing the TV guide button will allow you to navigate (using the arrow buttons again) through the guide to find a desired channel more easily. To take you to the desired channel simply press “select” while the channel is highlighted on screen.
If in a menu, pressing “back-up” button will take you back to the channel you were on.
Pressing the “i” button will give you more information about the programme you are on, or the programme you have highlighted on a menu, press back-up to return to the channel or menu.
Volume can be controlled from the Sky remote using the “vol +/- “buttons.
To Record a programme simply press record as you are watching the desire programme. Alternatively, you can use the TV guide button to navigate through future programmes to pick what to record. Once you have highlighted the desired programme press the record button and follow instructions on screen to cancel or press the “Sky” button or “backup” button on the remote to return back to the Sky channels.
To play back Recorded programmes press the TV guide button and then the green button (as indicated on screen) to view the “Sky+ Planner”. Navigate the menu using the arrow keys and press select once the desired programme is highlighted.
Sky Q - Blue Button – Microphone Press and hold down the blue button, this activates the microphone which you can then speak into to select channel.
Lounge Television
50" Samsung Television with Sky package including cinema and Netflix
On the top right of the remote there is a “Source” button symboled by a component connector, pressing this will allow you to select between the available inputs using the arrow and centre button, such as ‘HDMI 2’ for Sky TV.
42" Samsung smart TV with Sky package including cinema and Netflix. Turn the TV on using the red power button on the top left of the TV remote.On the top right of the remote there is a “Source” button symboled by a component connector, pressing this will allow you to select between the available inputs using the arrow and centre button, such as ‘HDMI 1’ for Sky TV.
iPad
The iPad is located on the right-hand side of the kitchen worktop as you enter the living room. This can be used to control the sound system within the property there are speakers in the living room, bedroom and bathroom accessed by using Airplay to select a zone. Spotify can be used to access a number of playlists for Ocean Blue. Please do not change the Spotify account, if you wish to use your own Spotify account you can connect to Airplay via your personal device.
Alexa
The Amazon Alexa is located next to the TV - Say “Alexa” to activate. Alexa has a number of uses within the property including controlling ambient lighting.

Alexa Hi - Welcomes guest to Ocean Blue. Alexa turns on ambience - Turns on ambient lighting in the living room and kitchen. Alexa goodbye - Goodbye message for guests.
Amazon Echo
The amazon echo can be used to control the Dyson fan and ambient lighting Please see below for the list of Echo commands:“Echo turn on/off mood lighting” - Turns ambient lighting on or off.“Echo turn on/off fan” - Turns Dyson fan on or off.
Ambient Lighting
The ambient lighting can be controlled either by using the Echo command above or switch on the wall.
Denon Sound System
The Denon sounds system is located on the top left of the unit. Press the power button on the unit itself or use the remote for the sound system which is located on top of the unit. Select the function using the button on the top right of the remote to choose between Internet/USB/DAB. The volume can be controlled from the unit or via the remote control.
